Premier's Speaker Series - Call for Applications

The Premier's Innovation Speaker Series is accepting its first intake of applications. This program is designed to advance knowledge and activities in the priority sectors of the Provincial Government's Economic strategy: bioscience (including fisheries and agriculture), aerospace, renewable energy, and information technology. Funding support will be provided to local leaders who have identified experienced professionals to deliver public lectures, give seminar presentations and lead or participate in roundtable or panel discussions in Prince Edward Island. This program will cover expenses to bring in several world experts to Prince Edward Island.

Individual proponents will be required, in the application, to outline a program agenda and briefly summarize fit and impact within the priority sectors. Applications should include identified speaker(s) and provide a detailed description of qualifications and benefits to Prince Edward Island's priority sectors. A budget, indicating all expenses related to the proposed program agenda, should be included.

Closing date for this round of applications is November 20, 2009
